How many cores does Intel’s Ice Lake-SP XCC die have? SemiAccurate thinks you will say 38 but let’s break that down.
It starts out with a curious but anecdotal story that one of SemiAccurate’s moles recently passed along. They asked why Intel’s latest round of roadmaps don’t have core counts any more. When we asked what exactly they meant, we were told that some items which historically had core counts no longer do. It could be an oversight or it could be a new trend, time will tell. What we can say for now is that 38 is not the right answer.
