GIGABYTE HAS DISPLAYED its range of H55 and H57 motherboards at CES and we’ve got a few pictures of the boards along with a picture of the high-end P55 model. The GA-P55A-UD7 is Gigabyte’s latest addition to its already solid range of P55 motherboards and it builds on the legacy of Gigabyte’s Extreme series of motherboards by utilizing a similar cooling solution, among its many high-end features.
This is the first time the GA-P55A-UD7 has been shown and although this is set to be a premium model targeting overclockers and those that just want every single feature they can have on their motherboard. It features a 24-phase VRM design, Gigabyte’s Ultra Durable 3 technology, USB 3.0, 6Gbit/s SATA3 and something that Gigabyte calls 3x USB power which delivers three times the power to all USB ports on the motherboard. It also offers support for CrossFireX and SLI and it will work with DDR3 memory speeds of 2600MHz and beyond.
Next we have the GA-H57M-USB3 which is a microATX board based on the H57 chipset which works with the recently announced Core i5 and Core i3 processors with integrated graphics. The board offers a full range of digital display interfaces which includes DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI. As the name suggests it comes with onboard USB 3.0 and as with the previous board, this one has 3x USB power as well. It has two x16 PCI Express slots, but the second slot only offers 4x bandwidth.
The GA-H55M-USB3 is pretty much the same board, but based on the H55 chipset with the main difference being fewer USB ports in total and no RAID support, as Intel has cut these features in the H55 chipset.
Finally we have the GA-H55M-UD2H and GA-H55M-S2H, again using a very similar layout to the two previous models, although without USB 3.0 connectivity. The S2H model is the more basic of the two and as such it lacks the DisplayPort interface, doesn’t come with all solid capacitors and it has only two memory slots rather than four. All of these boards should be available shortly.S|A
