AMD Hawaii-based FirePro to launch

It’s about time

It seems Hawaii-based FirePro Graphics will finally make its début on the stage of professional graphics. With casual browsing on AMD’s investor relations webpage, interesting things did immediately meet with the eyes.

Upcoming events… AMD FirePro Hawaii Launch

Obviously, it’s not AMD’s first attempt at live streaming launch events for the introduction of new GPU products, the same happened with “Hawaii” (also known as the Radeon R9 290X) in September last year. However, it would be the first time for them to admit that in their investor relations webpage. Remember, investor relations can’t lie.

Mark your calendars, ladies and gentlemen. It’s March 26, 2014 at 9:00am PDT

While apparently, the “AMD FirePro Hawaii Launch” would only be an internal name, and so they have quickly made a correction, “AMD Professional Graphics Showcase”. And they have just made an announcement of the event too.

Since there isn’t a media pre-brief happening as far as the author is concerned at the time of publication, whether there will be a dual-GPU variant [Author’s note: “Vesuvius” anyone?] or a 16 GB FirePro S-series GPU compute card ready to come, we honestly don’t know. But (hopefully) all will be revealed in the event in March 26, 2014 at 9:00 am PDT. S|A
