ATP showed off a tiny eMMC package at Computex that didn’t get enough credit. SemiAccurate thinks this 6.7×6.7mm package is going to be quite useful.
Small enough to take bad pictures of
OK it doesn’t look like much, a standard black square with pins on the back. The trick is this 64GB, 128GB is on the near term roadmap, is tiny. When you see it in person you understand, this 6.7×6.7mm SSD is incredibly small but it holds more than enough for smart glasses and similar wearables. If those markets ever happen for real, ATP has the storage it needs in the format it needs. Unfortunately it also devalues the 20MB 5.25 inch HDD I have on the shelf in my office, but that is progress.S|A
