CORSAIR IS ONE of many companies that have tried to make water cooling more accessible to the mainstream and its Hydro Series H50 sealed loop water cooler gained some rather favourable reviews, especially with regards to the reasonable ease of installation and reliability. Now Corsair has gone and upped the game with the introduction of the Hydro Series H70 which is set to improve upon the performance of the H50.

ONE OF THE steps that any manufacturer of USB compliant devices has to pass is getting certified by the USB-IF so that the USB device is proven to be compatible with the USB standard. This has been one of the big hindrances for USB 3.0 solutions and it seems to be holding back Taiwanese manufacturers of USB 3.0 ICs to the degree that we won’t see any significant shipments of USB 3.0 compliant chips from Taiwan this year.

WATERCOOLING, THE CHOICE of, well at least some overclockers, but it seems to be mostly used as a marketing tool these days without any real market penetration. Kingston has just announced three sets of HyperX H2O memory modules (which we spied back at CES), all of which feature support for water cooling. IF YOU THINK USB 3.0 is fast, think again, Gigabyte has announced that it’s delivering support for UASP or USB Attached SCSI Protocol which is set to boost the data transfer rate for compatible UASP devices by as much as 20 percent over the current USB Mass Storage specification that has been the standard so far.

We’ve got new CPUs and graphics cards in most of Apple’s line-up and the new 27-inch monitor materialised alongside with the Magic Trackpad.
